Are Your Important Technical Documents Preserved On Media That Is Truly Archival?
If your engineering documentation is stored on paper, digitally or even dry silver aperture cards, your documents are susceptible to decay or obsolescence. It is a common misconception that digital storage and dry silver cards are permanent. In fact, digital is fragile and dry silver cards must be stored exactly to an impractical specification or they also are at risk for decay. Dry silver film has never been approved as being archival by any recognized standards board such as ANSI, ISO or AIIM.

Tameran's preservation process provides your organization security – security in knowing that your technical documents are being processed by experts in an environment dedicated to producing the highest quality output certified to last for more than 250 years – not just 5 or 10. Paper or digital documents are preserved on aperture cards or other microfilm media for little more than it costs to make paper copies or plots.
Preservation can be accomplished simply by sending digital files directly from your facility via networks to our filming center. Paper files can be converted to digital files using standard paper scanners and then transmitted to Tameran for recording. Or, if you prefer, send us your paper drawings or digital disks for archiving. We save you the labor and associated costs of stocking cards and chemistry. Your documents will be archived on a media that is the highest quality and is both eye and machine-readable.
