Image
Processing – Clean up, edit and index images of drawings and
related page size documents from 8.5 ”x11 ” to oversized technical and
engineering drawings and architectural plans
-
Data
Acquisition Designer – User defined templates to capture or
associate metadata to image files. Index data is remapped or
formatted to create output files that conform to input requirements
of various document management or business systems.
-
Workflow Designer – Easy to use
interface for designing intelligent, streamlined processing of
documents. Using the features of ImagePrep, a workflow can be
created that can be applied to a group of documents or even a
specified directory.
-
Workflow Processor –
Automatically processes the workflow designed in Workflow Designer
-
File Format Conversion
– Converts various file format such as DWG, DWF, DXF,
HPGL, CGM, C4 and others to raster formats such as TIFF, PDF, CALS,
JPEG or PNG
-
Advanced Image Processing and Manipulations
– Provides tools for
grouping, splitting, binding, and advanced watermarking and stamping
of images
-
Workflow Extensions – A set of
additional functional blocks (objects) that extend the capabilities
of Workflow Processor to include the Advanced Image Processing
capabilities and File Format Conversion.
-
Metadata Processor
– Provides tools for automatically acquiring
index or metadata data from disparate data sources for outputting
with images in multiple formats and unlimited data structures
- Schema Processor
- Converts
data from multiple sources and multiple formats to a format that is
compatible with each recipient of the data. It also produces XML
that conforms to the customer's schemata for input into any

The Data Acquisition Designer allows you to create templates
for the data fields you want to capture as well as map
locations on your images where the data is located to allow
for quick input of the desired data. Tameran's Acquisition
Designer also allows you to map template data acquisition
fields to files that contain the desired data, thereby
reducing data input time.
After using
the data acquisition templates to acquire the data, the
images can be loaded individually or in bulk to databases in
virtually any structure or format you desire.

Workflow Designer is an easy-to-use interface that allows
you to design intelligent, streamlined workflow for image
processing of your documents. Using the features of
ImagePrep, you create a workflow that can be applied to a
group of documents or even a specified directory. With just
a click of your mouse, Workflow Processor automatically
processes the workflow designed in Workflow Designer,
allowing you to sit back and relax while your images are
deskewed, despeckled, named, sorted and filed right where
you want them to be.

Be independent of original
applications for conversion and input of document or drawing
images into business management systems such as Electronic
Document Management (EDMS), Product Design Management (PDM)
or Product Life Management (PLM) systems.
Convert File
Formats

Output Image Files
Create image files such as TIFF, PDF, CALS, JPEG or PNG from
CAD files and various other native application formats as
well as vector and raster formats in seconds.

Group and
Ungroup Documents
Group related
documents together in a single image for convenience of
printing on one sheet of paper or for archiving as a single
digital image or microfilm image for long-term digital
preservation. Applications include construction drawings,
engineering change notices, building permits and more.
Create single
or multi-page documents from multi-up images. This is a
common situation when scanning aperture cards or microfilm
for digital access or distribution.
Bind and Burst Documents
Create
multi-page documents in TIFF or PDF, independent of file
format, application and original document size.
Take multi-page TIFF or PDF files and burst into single page
output in TIFF, PDF or CALS to facilitate distribution.

Stamp and
Watermark
Utilize time
and date stamp to meet ISO or corporate standards for
revision control.
Automatically add page numbers or Bates stamp document
images for indexing and document handling convenience.
Add watermark messages and notices to document images such
as “Confidential”, “Preliminary”, “Use Restrictions” or
anything else you can dream up.
Split
Automatically
split long documents for distribution to a more convenient
size or to meet document size constraints for use with
business management systems such as EDMS, PDM, PLM or
microfilm archives.

Metadata
Processor allows you to automatically retrieve and format
metadata associated with document image files. Metadata can
be extracted from the input file name, an associated text
file or from the input file header. This metadata can then
be used to retrieve additional data from one or more
databases. Output can then be generated from any combination
of the input and retrieved data. This output metadata can be
used in the output file path and name, written to one or
more text files and/or stored in the output file header

Schema
Processor
Data from multiple sources and multiple formats can be
converted to be compatible with formats that each recipient ("end user")
wants or needs. This can be accomplished sequentially as many times as
necessary.

Example 1
XML files generated by ImagePrep can be read directly by
other systems within or outside of the original system.
